  • MVTC is one of the largest vision therapy centers in the world, and we have experience working with thousands of individuals vs. the few hundred seen in most vision therapy programs.

  • Since we do not practice primary-care optometry and only conduct vision therapy and academic programs, we are free to concentrate our time and effort in learning the most we can about brain science and new therapy and educational programs.

  • Our programs are designed and monitored by a board-certified developmental/behavioral optometrist.  (Many programs say that they are conducted by a “licensed” optometrist.  This means that the optometrist has a general license to practice optometry in the state which is legally necessary.  “Board certification” means that the doctor has gone through extensive testing to show that they are extremely knowledgeable in the areas of developmental/behavioral optometry and vision therapy.)

  • All of our vision therapists are either board-certified (see explanation above) or board-eligible and will complete their board certification process within the next two years.  Vision therapists can only be board-certified if they work under a board-certified optometrist, and few if any vision therapists are board-certified in Minnesota outside of our office.

  • Every year national leaders in the fields of vision therapy, education, and brain science are brought in to train our therapists in new therapy or educational procedures and instruct them on the newest findings in brain science.  Our therapists also have an extensive resource library available for their use.
